Main Convertible Hood Motor fix plate for E30
Electric roof motor fix for convertible roof We originally offered a cast replacement for fixing broken top motor casing that operates the roof frame Due to low order and growing costs and the complexity of the fitting and added costs for us to build them up an alternative has been found in a plate that fixes to the body - see picture 2 and allows the hood arm to swivel and for the roof motor to work without problems You will need to ensure the main arm and rose joint is not bent and that you still have the brass washer that will sit between the plate and the arm - these are no longer available and we charge £25 for replacements The original motor casing is made from Alluminium and when broken you have you buy a new motor complete at c.£500+ We have supplied these to main dealers to fix motors You are buying the metal plate that fits on top of the body above the motor - call if any problems or concerns To set up these motors and get the roof working we cant quote accurately without seeing it but you are looking at c. £350 labour - but you should be able to do it yourself with this plate if the motors have not been played with and still in correct positions
